Sand Harbor - Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park

Enjoy Lake Tahoe's most beautiful and gently sloping beaches. This magnificent state park has activities ranging from swimming, picnicking, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Take pleasure in Lake Tahoe's crystal blue waters or just meander along the park's scenic walking trails. The park also hosts the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival every summer.

Tahoe Rim Trail

The Tahoe Rim Trail is a 165-mile scenic hiking trail that forms a loop around the Lake Tahoe Basin. Beautiful alpine passes, crystal clear lakes and verdant meadows are just some of the wonders you will experience. The trail is divided into eight sections some of which are great for kids


Squaw Valley Tram Ride                                                               

Kids and adults alike will love this 10-minute ride. The tram ascends 2,000 vertical feet and soars above the snowy mountainscape of granite rock. And that's just the beginning. Once you reach your destination at High Camp, located at 8,200', you can breathe in the crisp fresh mountain air and take in the stunning vistas at High Camp. High Camp offers dining, shopping, and access to ice skating.


Ice Skating

Located in the heart of the Village at Northstar, the 9,000 square foot skating rink is the perfect ending to your day on the mountains. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail or two by the outdoor fire pits surrounding the rink or take a few laps to burn off any left-over energy. The skating rink is free for all, and for those who do not have skates, rentals are available.
